Removal of Acoustic Popcorn Texture and Update

Removal and re-texture is a very messy job and best done after all the furniture is removed and all fixtures, floors and walls covered with plastic film and trim taped off. We use a wet method to remove the old acoustic, or popcorn, texture to avoid causing a lot of dust. Then we re-tape and bed any areas that have become loose and replace any sheetrock if necessary. Most of the time a sealer/primer like Kilz (R) is used before applying  the new texture.

We generally suggest a light knockdown texture for replacing acoustic popcorn. Then we paint, clean up and you are ready to move the furniture back in. This is more modern and is a major update for any room.
